How to Reduce Current Bill - Reduction in usage of Current

Current Reduction
After huge increase in the current bill, there always a question arise that how to keep it minimum ?

Its easy to talk about increase in the current bill in Face book, Orkut, Twitter, and in all social networking sites. But it becomes our day to day life, in order to reduce the usage of the current we must know how much amount of current that our electric components in home takes.

Before planning to reduce the usage of current in our home, lets see the consumption of current by electric components for one hour in a day.

Heater : 2 units
Induction stove : 2 units
Rice cooker : 1.5 units
Micro Oven : 1 units
Motor : 0.75 units
A.C : 0.75 units
Washing Machine : 0.05 units

Fan : 0.04 units
Fridge : 0.04 units
Mixe : 0.04 units
Radio : 0.04 units
VCR : 0.04 units

Fat bulb : 0.04 units
CFL bulbs: 0.005 units

Television : 0.075 units

Computer : 0.075 units
Iron box : 0.075 units

Grinder : 0.005 units

In order to get better benefit we can use alternative product for high consumption of current. The best replacement will be, the normal bulb with CFL bulbs. Nearly 10 % we can save the current and money. Need to double check for switching OFF heater, fan, Light etc., after it usages.

Lower Salary Hike this year for Indian Employees- Survey Report- Infosys No Salary hike

Employees across corporate India are expected to get a lower average salary hike of 11.54 per cent in 2012 compared to last year as companies are grappling with sluggish economic activities, says a survey.
Salary hike- 2012
As per the survey conducted by HR consulting firm Right Step Consulting, the salary hikes for India would decline to 11.54 per cent in 2012 from 11.89 per cent in 2011.
“After having grown at the rate of 8.4 per cent over the last two years the Indian economy slowed down considerably in the year ended March 2012 and the lower than expected growth in economy at only 6.9 per cent is reflecting in the Indian corporate sector's lower outlook for compensation hikes for its employees,” Right Step Consulting Director Vishal Bhargava said.
The drop in salary hikes is expected across both services and manufacturing sectors. While manufacturing sector is expecting a salary hike of 11.58 per cent as against 11.91 per cent in 2011, the service space is expecting a salary increase of 11.49 per cent compared to 11.87 per cent last year.
“Drop in salary hikes in manufacturing sector was expected given that sector's estimated growth rate in 2011-12 at 3.9 per cent is a drop of almost 50 per cent as compared to 7.6 per cent in the previous year,” Bhargava said.
Among the sector, prominent core sectors such as power, steel, mining and construction are all expecting a lower salary hike.
“Besides, the drop in expected salary hikes in services is on account of sharp drop in telecom and drops in sectors like retail, IT software, BFSI and travel/hospitality,” he added.
The survey, conducted among 2,326 Indian companies across sectors, said decline in salary hikes are expected across both foreign MNCs and Indian companies.
“Drop in foreign MNCs is marginally higher from 12.17 per cent in 2011 to 11.73 per cent in 2012 a decline of 44 basis points as compared to Indian companies which are expecting a drop from 11.71 per cent to 11.41 per cent a drop of 30 basis points,” Bhargava said.
Reflecting economic uncertainties and slow down in the home markets of foreign MNCs which is an additional concern for their India operations.

Adding to this Infosys had annonced that there is no salary hike this year.

How to Calculate Cut off Mark for Enginnering and Medical - 12th cutoff mark calculation -2012

The Engineering cut-off marks will be calculated as,
Subjects Total Marks Cut-off Calculation Cut-Off Marks
Mathematics 200 200/2 100
Physics 200 200/4 50
Chemistry 200 200/4 50
Engineering Cut-Off 200/200
For example, assuming that, if a student secured 198 in Mathematics, 174 in Physics and 190 in Chemistry, then the Engineering Cut-off marks of that student will as follows
 Maths - 198 /2  =  99
Physics - 174/4 =   43.5
Chemistry - 190/4 = 47.5

Hence Cut off Mark is given as 99+43.5+47.5 = 190

Cut-off marks for CBSE board for Engineering Admission

For CBSE students, the marks obtained by the students in the relevant subjects in the qualifying examination conducted by various Boards or Authority shall be equated with the marks obtained by the students in the same subjects in the qualifying examination conducted by the State Board of Tamil Nadu by adopting the method of normalization. (e.g.) if the highest marks secured by the student of State Board of Tamil Nadu in Physics is 100 and the highest marks secured by a student of any other Board in the same subject is 90 both the highest marks will be considered to be equal to 100. If a student of the other Board secures 60 marks in Physics when the first mark in Physics in the same Board is 90, 60 marks will be considered to be equal to 66.66 marks as arrived below:- 100 x 60 / 90 = 66.66% After normalization of marks in the relevant subjects in the qualifying examination conducted by different Boards, the qualified students shall be merged into a common merit list.
