INDIAN ENGINEERING: My Idea My Business Plan

Young Indians Kongu Engineering College Students Net is organizing “My Idea My Business Plan” – a business competition to be held on 31st January2014 (Friday).

Objectives of the Event

To bring out the new enterprising business and social ideas from the participants having innovative ideas which are technically feasible, commercially viable and socially relevant.
To provide opportunity for the participants to bring out their entrepreneurial talents
To support the selected ideas through nurturing and guidance so that they can be shaped into business start-ups
To provide funding support for the fresh start-ups which have the potential to explore the market, grow and sustain for the benefit of the society

The list of proposed events for the participants

1. My Innovative Idea

Event Details – Innovative ideas having technical feasible ideas can be submitted in a single page write-up needs to be submitted. Format attached – Annexure – 1. Email: myideamybusiness@gmail.com
Who can participate – Graduate and postgraduate students of arts & science, engineering studies can register for the event
Team Size – Maximum two participants per team
Registration fees – Rs.150/- per person

2. My Business Plan

Event Details – Business plan needs to be innovative, technically feasible, commercial viable to start a venture and it is desirable if it has having social benefit. Selected business plan will be funded with a seed capital of Rs.2.5 lakh as interest free loan for three years and a soft loan upto Rs.50 lakh. A detailed business proposal needs to be emailed after registration. Format attached – Annexure – 2. Email: myideamybusiness@gmail.com
Who can participate – Any person within India can register for the event
Team Size – Maximum four participants per team
Registration fees – For Students Rs.150/- per person
For Non-Students Rs.250/- per person

3. My Idea for a Social Change

Event Details – New ideas which will bring social change and development of the society. Social ideas can be submitted in a single page write-up needs to be submitted. Format attached – Annexure – 3. Email: myideamybusiness@gmail.com
Who can participate – Graduate and postgraduate students of arts & science, engineering studies can register for the event

4. Woman as an Entrepreneur

Event Details – Problems restrain women from becoming entrepreneurs and possible solutions as seen from a woman’s perspective. New ideas to socialise women entrepreneurs can be submitted in a single page write-up needs to be submitted. Email: myideamybusiness@gmail.com
Who can participate – Only women graduate and postgraduate students of arts & science, engineering studies can register for the event

5. My Dream

Event Details – Best dreams of participants are captured and recorded by the Dream:In, Bangalore. The selected dreamers will be mentored to start their dream projects with funding support
Who can participate – The participants registered for any one of the above events will get free entry. This event is sponsored by eZone India, Chennai
Team Size – Individual participation
Registration fees – The participants registered for any one of the above events will get free entry. This event is sponsored by Dream:In, Bangalore

6. Memorable Day of My Life

Event Details – Inspiring, surprising, Creative Momentum is set for the participants to make a memorable day of a life time. This event is sponsored by eZone India, Chennai
Who can participate – The participants registered for any one of the above events will get free entry. This event is sponsored by eZone India, Chennai
Team Size – Any number of participants
Registration fees – The participants registered for any one of the above events will get free entry.

Prizes/Awards for the Winners

All the participants will receive a certificate of participation with signing logo from the sponsors
For the My Innovative Idea, My Business Plan, My Idea for Social Change, and Woman as an Entrepreneur events winner and runner will receive a cash prize, certificate of winning, and winner trophy

Seed Funding

The best business plan project will receive seed funding support of Rs.2,50,000/-
The project will be selected based on the innovative ideas, technical feasibility nature, economically viable and having social relevance.
